The gold rush started with the 76ers

Today was the first dreary day we've had since arriving in Paris. It was one of those days where you just want to curl up under the covers and watch movies all day. This exactly what I did--Since I will be in Oxford in a few weeks, I found it fitting to watch Pride & Prejudice and see the Derbyshire of England.
After a few lazy hours indoors, Kat and I decided to venture out and shop for our upcoming long weekend to Barcelona. When we were done at Zara, the first store we visited, it was pouring rain again. I decided to head back to St. Johns. This was my first mistake. I was soaked within seconds, and my shoes had no traction, so I slipped and fell a bit every few steps. After getting back to my room, I quickly changed into comfy clothing and climbed back into bed.
For dinner tonight me, Kat, Collette, Bri, Leah, Wyatt, and Tierney had a wonderful treat--we got to eat dinner with Tierney's parents! We ate at our favorite Italian restaurant (this is the 5th time I've been since I got here) where all the servers and the managers/owners love us. We enjoyed fine wine and dining and got to know Tierney's parents a little better, it was so nice to have them with us and laugh at all the shenanigans we've gotten ourselves into over the past few weeks. Our waiter was Marco again and he gave us a CD of his as well as his business card. It was too funny. Also, while we were eating dinner three little girls (who we later found out were from America and visiting Paris for a wedding) came up to our table and sang Taylor Swift's song "Our Song". It was beyond adorable & I will upload the pictures of them tomorrow.
Although today started out as a drab, boring day it turned out to be very pleasant in the end. I am so blessed to have such amazing friends and to be able to share these experiences with!

  1. Sweet Katie, I posted before but I don't think it "took." I hope this one "takes." I so enjoy your blog. It's almost, not quite, but almost like being there. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences. I love you and hope you have the time of your life...Nana.
